Before You Write

A result looks wrong. Tell us the username, the platform and the result you saw (Found, Available or Unknown). It helps a lot. Platforms change their pages often, so these reports help us keep results accurate.

A username is “Available” but the platform won’t let you take it. This usually means the name belongs to a deactivated, deleted, banned or reserved account that doesn’t show a public profile. Our Instagram username checker explains this in detail.

You’ve forgotten your own username. We can’t recover accounts, but our guide on how to find your username walks through the options for each app.

Privacy requests. To ask about your data, or to request that a username connected to you be excluded from our results, email us with the subject line “Privacy request”. See our Privacy Policy for your rights.

We can’t help with: recovering or unlocking accounts on other platforms, transferring usernames between people, or finding personal information about someone. Those need to go to the platform itself.
