Other Platforms Username Search
Type in a username or handle and check it against Kik, Twitch, Pinterest or YouTube, four platforms whose own search volume doesn't justify a separate page each but that people still search for by name often enough to cover properly. This runs the same username search as the homepage, scoped to these four.
Kik Username Search
Kik doesn't run a public username directory the way Instagram or Pinterest do, so there's no web page on Kik's own site that a search engine, or this tool, can check directly. What actually works is cross-platform correlation: checking whether that same username shows up on other public profiles, since plenty of Kik users list their Kik handle in an Instagram or TikTok bio to make themselves easier to find. Running the handle through our Instagram username search or TikTok username search is often the quickest way to find that link. Our homepage username search does the same across its full 1,000+ site list in one go, rather than pretending Kik itself can be searched directly.
If you already have someone's Kik username, the fastest confirmation is still the in-app "Find by username" search inside Kik itself. This tool is the better starting point when you want to see where else that username turns up.
Twitch Username Search
A Twitch username search checks the exact handle that makes up a channel's URL (twitch.tv/username), the same one used to find and follow a streamer. Twitch usernames run 4 to 25 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and underscores only, no hyphens, spaces or symbols, and a streamer can change theirs once every 60 days.
Twitch's own display name can show different capitalization of the same letters (a small stylized capital or two), but the underlying username stays lowercase and the search ignores capitals, so if a search comes back empty, check the spelling against the channel URL. Streamers very often use the same name for their community server, so a Discord username lookup is a natural second check.
Once you've confirmed a handle, the Twitch Username Checker is the next stop for checking your own availability, and the Twitch Username Generator if it's taken. For a gaming name that works on Twitch, Discord and Roblox at once, the username generator lets you pick a gamer style and check each platform.
Pinterest Username Search
Pinterest usernames make up the last part of a profile's URL (pinterest.com/username) and run 3 to 30 characters, letters and numbers only, with no spaces, symbols or punctuation allowed at all, stricter than most platforms on this list. A Pinterest username search here checks that exact string against public profile pages the same way it does for every other platform covered.
Pinterest keeps the username separate from the profile's display name, which can be longer and more descriptive, so a search that comes back empty is worth rechecking against the actual pinterest.com URL rather than the name shown on the profile. The Pinterest Username Checker covers availability if you're claiming one rather than looking someone else up.
YouTube Username Search
YouTube moved to a handle system in 2022, the @name format you now see under a channel's title and in its URL (youtube.com/@name). A YouTube username search here checks that handle. Handles run 3 to 30 characters, allow letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens and periods, aren't case-sensitive, and can't be bought, sold or transferred between channels.
Older channels that set a custom URL before handles existed still have that legacy URL working alongside their new handle, so a channel can technically be reachable two ways. Searching the current @handle is the more reliable path, since that's what YouTube points new mentions and searches toward. The YouTube Username Checker and YouTube Username Generator are the next stop if you're setting up a handle of your own.
